Student Clinic

The student OMM clinic is a student-run clinic offering free services to students, faculty, and staff of Michigan State University as well as members of the community. First and second-year medical students, under the supervision of residents and faculty physicians, use osteopathic manipulative treatments to treat pain, limited mobility and decreased range of motion.

The clinic welcomes all members of the community including students, faculty, and staff of Michigan State University. No insurance is required. All underage patients must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

To ensure the highest quality care, we ask patients to wear loose fitting/athletic clothing that they can move around in. We also recommend staying well hydrated before and after the treatment.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our student front desk workers who will help check you in. Your 90-minute appointment will begin with an examination of 2 osteopathic medical students. Once complete, the students will perform osteopathic manipulation aimed at treating specific dysfunctions. Then a supervising physician will review the findings and treatment plan.

It is normal to experience soreness 24-72 hours after treatment. It is ok to use your preference of ice/heat during this time. It is important to remain hydrated and continue to move your joints to promote optimal healing.
